Flat Iron – Superstition Mountains

We started this hike around 10am late in January. The hike is around 6 miles long and can be a difficult hike. The hike is fairly easy across the meadow up to the waterfall section of siphon draw. Siphon draw is a very interesting section where the canyon narrows and there is a rather impressive waterfall after a rain. After the siphon draw section is where the hike starts to get rough. From there to the top it is very steep and involves some scrambling. Once at the top however expect incredible views before heading back down.
